Solo Stove, the home and outdoor lifestyle brand within the Solo Brands portfolio released the Pi Fire, a pizza oven to use with a wood fire pit; this follows the brand’s Pi backyard pizza oven released earlier in 2022.
The oven’s skirt captures a wood flame’s heat and directs it toward the stone and crust of the pizza, while an inverted demi-dome shape maximizes radiant heating of the top of the pizza. Long legs provide clearance to bake pizza while still letting customers enjoy the fire pit for traditional uses and so they can operate the Pi Fire and access the fire pit simultaneously.
Once the fire is lit, Pi Fire can cook pizza within 30-to-45 minutes or when the stone has reached 500F° to 600F°. And after starting the pizza, the cooking process should take five to ten minutes, with a few turns for an even bake.
Pi Fire comes in three sizes, compatible with the Ranger, Bonfire and Yukon Solo Stove fire pits. Pi Fire is also compatible with most of Solo Stove’s fire pit accessories and is portable with its included carry case. A pair of Solo Stove’s heat-resistant gloves come with the purchase of the equipment.
Clint Mickle, president, Solo Stove, said, “We have been overwhelmed with the response we’ve received with the launch of Pi this year. One thing we heard from our community was the desire to incorporate our fire pits with the pizza oven. We are so excited to offer our customers the experience of a pizza dinner and the calmness of a night by the fire together in one portable and easy-to-use product.”
