Snow Peak, the outdoor lifestyle company celebrating 20 years in the U.S., has hired Jason McGibbon as chief revenue officer. McGibbon most recently led Yakima Product’s sales organization as vice president of sales.

During his time at Yakima, he drove a sales team that achieved record growth and expansion into new market sectors. McGibbon’s wide-ranging experience in the outdoor industry runs the gamut from ski guide to customer service manager, entrepreneur to agency creator. McGibbon has extensive sales management experience over decades of progressive leadership roles at brands such as The North Face, New Balance Performance Outerwear, Sierra Designs, Kelty, Mission Playground and Mountain Hardwear.

”In 2019, Snow Peak began adding talent to functional teams across our US operations as strategic investment in our North American growth,” said Matt Liddle, chief operating officer at Snow Peak USA. “As we start 2020, I’m incredibly delighted to welcome Jason to our Snow Peak team. His passion, experience, and leadership will be a major catalyst for growth as we move forward into the future of Snow Peak USA.“

Beyond professional accomplishments, McGibbon has long been committed to contributing to the future of the outdoor industry, advising on numerous boards, attending leadership conferences, and advocating for increased outdoor participation through organizations such as PeopleForBikes, Oregon’s Outdoor Coalition, Portland State University’s Athletic and Outdoor program and serving as a mentor through the Skip Yowell’s Future Leadership Academy.

“I have always been passionate about how a product can enhance one’s experiences outdoors,” said McGibbon. “Having the opportunity to communicate how Snow Peak thoughtfully encourages people to shift away from the stresses of life and share time outside, is incredibly inspiring. I could not be more excited to join such a bold, courageous and passionate group of individuals, working to deliver a distinct experience to both customers and consumers alike, allowing them to connect with nature and build memorable and powerful bonds.”
