Sven Voth, founder of the international sneaker and streetwear retailer Snipes, is transitioning out of the business over the next two years and expects to depart by January 1, 2026. Voth is leaving his position as the CEO of Snipes Europe, effective immediately.

Dennis Schröder, the general manager of Snipes Europe since April 2023, succeeded Voth as CEO and has taken over full responsibility for Snipes in Europe. Schröder worked for Nike and Puma from 2010 to 2017 and, more recently, was the general manager of Eleven Teamsoorts GmbH before co-founding Teamsports.ai.

Voth will remain with the company as founder during his transition, focused on expansion, wholesale, product trends and innovation, and collaborations in Europe and the U.S. After the two-year transition period, he will move into an advisory role.

Jim Bojko will maintain responsibility for the U.S. business.

Said Voth, “Snipes is my life’s work and will always be a part of me. I realize that it is time to hand over the baton and Dennis Schröder already enjoys the recognition of all colleagues in the company and partners outside of it. Together with Jim Bojko he will continue to enrich Snipes with his expertise and ideas guiding the brand through its next chapter of growth.”

Voth sold the majority stake in Snipes to the Deichmann Group, parent of Rack Room, in 2011.

Following the redemption of the last shares, Voth, who founded the company in Essen, Germany, in 1998 and developed it over the years into a multi-billion-dollar business with over 750 stores in 12 countries, will stay involved with the brand.
