SmartWool, a Steamboat Springs is pleased to announce the addition of Carol Momoda as their West Coast Regional Sales Manager. Momoda was formerly the Brand Manager at Lowa Boots LLC.
“Carol's extensive product experience in the retail arena has given her an
inherent understanding of what it takes to lead a sales force and create
successful retailer partnerships,” said Jim Markley, SmartWool Director of
Sales. “We are thrilled to have her as part of the SmartWool team.”
Momoda has extensive retail experience, with over 20 years working with REI.
As the Product Manager for Footwear and Socks at REI, the most rewarding
part of her job at REI was creating partnerships with vendors, which led her
to her new position with SmartWool.
“I was the product manager at REI when SmartWool was first introduced and I
immediately saw the innovation, quality and performance of the product and
knew that the brand had great potential,” said Momoda. “I am excited to
join a company with products I truly believe in, and I look forward to using
my retail and wholesale experience to assist our sales reps in creating
successful partnerships with our retailers.”
As a native of the Northwest, Momoda enjoys the sort of activities that the
outdoor lifestyle affords, including alpine skiing, fly fishing,
horsepacking and hiking. She is looking forward to testing the full line of
SmartWool next-to-skin, gloves and accessories in her new position.
