Smartwool announced senior leadership changes to its sales and e-commerce divisions effective June 1, 2021.
Corey Stecker, previously international GM, sales and marketing, has been named global head of sales. Stecker has been with Smartwool since 2016 and has led the brand’s growth in Canada and Europe. In his new role, Stecker will take on responsibility for global wholesale and distributor channels including the U.S., Canada, EMEA, and Emerging Markets.
Matt Etzler has been named global head of eCommerce. Etzler joined Smartwool in 2020 as senior manager, eCommerce, a core pillar of Smartwool’s strategic growth strategy. In his new role, Etzler will lead Smartwool’s digital transformation and elevate its global digital commerce channels.
These expanded roles assume the responsibilities of Scott Bowers, vice president, U.S. sales, Smartwool, who announced his intent to retire from the company in late June after four years with the brand. Stecker and Etzler will report to Smartwool Brand President, Jen McLaren.
