Slytech, which makes protective gear for ski and snowboard racers, has selected Hydrapak to supply it with a 1-liter hydration reservoir for the second version of the Slytech Skin Hydrapro XT.

The pack, designed with input from Olympic and World Cup champion Ted Ligety, is slated for distribution in Fall 2013, and takes the action-sports-focused brand to the next level by offering both safety and accessible hydration. Hydrapaks 1-liter hydration reservoir features a patented slide-seal closure system and plug-and-play connector.

The Slytech 2nd Skin Hydrapro XT aims to fill a market gap, while concurrently opening the action sports protection field to a much wider spectrum of users, including recreational skiers and snowboarders, both of which are increasingly in search for hydration while on the move.
The strategic partnership between Hydrapak and Slytech is the latest collaboration in which the Oakland-based company has been recruited as technical advisor and OEM provider.

Created in 2001, Hydrapak, creators of innovative and advanced hands-free fluid delivery systems, was introduced to satisfy the growing demand from athletes for personal hydration systems. Hydrapak produces a lineup of custom built hydration backpacks, reservoirs, and bottles for a variety of sports, including skiing/riding, biking, hiking and running. Hydrapak is also an OEM for top manufacturers specializing in consumer, commercial and military purposes.
