SkirtSports named Maria Hennessey as director of sales and marketing. Hennessey joins SkirtSports after a successful tenure at Sherpani, designers of functional lifestyle bags for active women, adding welcomed industry expertise to SkirtSports business development.

As director of sales and marketing, Hennessey’s core responsibilities will be targeted at increasing SkirtSports sales through creative marketing programs and enhanced brand partnerships, among other avenues. She is also charged with elevating the outreach level to dealers thereby growing the dealer and customer base, while also increasing brand penetration in new markets and building a cohesive sales force. 


Hennessey brings additional experience in the women-specific industry which will support SkirtSports continued growth in development of new product lines and markets.

Prior to joining SkirtSports, Hennessey received a degree in psychology from Harvard University, jump starting her career as an Americorps team leader. Later, she worked for GORPTravel where she specialized as a sales consultant for three years. In 2005, she joined Sherpani where she maintained the position of director of sales for three years.
