After a soft launch to the retail trade last summer, TrekSta USA is moving forward with a full launch of the brand in the US market for Fall 05.

TrekSta USA will expand its marketing and sales efforts in the US and has brought in new senior level management to guide the brand’s full-fledged consumer launch.

Simon King has been named to the position of president of TrekSta USA. King said following Outdoor Retailer in late January thru early spring, retailers will notice an aggressive push from TrekSta as the brand establishes itself in the crowded hiking marketplace.

TrekSta is a leading brand in the Far East with a high-end product that King said offers US consumers a range of technical lightweight advancements.

“TrekSta will be positioned as a high-end, technical brand featuring Gore-Tex, HyperGrip and construction technologies unseen in other footwear,” said King.

Because of the brand’s Far East factory connections, King said TrekSta will be on the forefront of technologies each season as it seeks to offer the lightest-weight, most comfortable hiking boots available in the market.

King, an avid climber who has climbed all-over the world, brings an outsider’s business perspective to TrekSta USA coupled with an end-user’s mentality. His experience ranges from running an advertising/marketing agency in Silicon Valley to the field of hi tech executive business management.

“Look to TrekSta USA to introduce exciting color ways in women’s hiking footwear as well as men’s and women’s approach shoes that give the perfect marriage of established, functional design with weights, comfort and wearability that are unsurpassed,” said King

Moving forward through 2005 and into 2006 the brand will feature a wide mix of backpacking, trekking, hiking, approach, mountain running and specialty market footwear.
