Sierra Designs promoted Denise Kaatz to the newly created product development manager position. In her new position, Kaatz will be responsible for several key aspects of apparel development, including product costing, execution of apparel strategies, and management of product developers. Quality and fit assurance for all Sierra Designs apparel will also be handled by Kaatz.
“As our apparel offering becomes more diverse, especially with our newest vintage and urban apparel styles arriving at retail this spring, it became necessary to add the new product development manager position,” says Bob Orlando, CEO for Sierra Designs apparel. “With a history of success in her position as Sierra Designs product developer, Denise was a natural choice for the new position. After successful employment as production manager with Stonewear Designs and production coordinator with Fresh Produce Apparel, Kaatz joined the Sierra Designs team in October 2010 where she has helped Sierra Designs introduce some of the company’s most innovative and fashion-forward apparel yet.
As the new product development manager, Kaatz will report directly to Melodie Miller, director of product development, design and merchandising.
