Snowsports Industries America (SIA), the trade association for the winter sports industry in North America, and the European Outdoor Group (EOG), the industry association representing the European outdoor sector, inked a new partnership to strengthen collaboration between the U.S. and Europe, while also expanding value to their respective membership base.

“This landmark agreement formalizes a shared commitment to foster industry-wide impact, enhance meaningful cooperation and provide members with valuable access to resources, insights and opportunities across both continents,” SIA said in a media release.

Under the new partnership, SIA and EOG will exchange a suite of member benefits to support business growth, regulatory compliance and market intelligence.

For EOG voting members:

  • Complimentary access to SIA’s Consumer Anticipation Report (season kickoff)
  • SIA Compliance Alliance Monthly Newsletter
  • SIA Bi-Monthly Newsletter
  • Participation in a U.S. regulations-specific Compliance Alliance call
  • Member pricing for the Sundance Global Summit and SIA Summit Series

For SIA premium members:

  • Complimentary access to the EOG CSR newsletter and ad-hoc communications
  • EOG Executive Update weekly email
  • EOG State of Trade top-line numbers
  • Member pricing for the European Outdoor Market Intelligence Service
  • Member pricing for the Carbon Reduction Project and Single Use Plastics Project
  • Member pricing for EOG Summits

To further enhance global engagement, both organizations will offer their members the opportunity to purchase an International add-on membership, providing full access to the counterpart association’s benefits, including policy webinars, working groups, research, data, and event invitations. Eligibility is contingent upon maintaining a current membership in good standing. All applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure alignment with membership policies.

“This partnership is a significant step toward empowering our members to further strengthen and grow their businesses,” said Nick Sargent, president of SIA. “By sharing resources and expertise, we’re enabling our members to thrive in a rapidly evolving global market and collaborating on issues that have the greatest impact on our community.”

David Ekelund, president of EOG, echoed the same sentiment, “Cross-Atlantic collaboration is essential for tackling the challenges and seizing the opportunities facing our sector. This agreement with SIA will deliver tangible value to EOG members and drive meaningful progress for the entire industry.”
