SnowSports Industries America (SIA)
reports today that the SIA. 4 SnowSports Show is officially sold out. The SIA.04 SnowSports Show will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 26-29, 2004.

The SIA SnowSports Show is the first snow sports trade show in the world.

In conjunction with the Winter Sports Market hosted by the SMC and SSL buying groups, the SIA Show annually kicks off the buy-sell cycle.

“The decision to move the show dates was made three years ago with an understanding that a change of this magnitude would take 3-5 years to take hold. We knew that the industry needed time to embrace the new show dates, but were confident that the industry as a whole would eventually recognize the importance of the date change,” said David Ingemie, president of SIA. “With the floor space officially sold out, we see this as a clear sign that the industry is making significant progress towards the goal,” he added.

SIA and it's members recognize the support of the buying groups SMC, SSL and Sports Inc., the regional rep organizations: WWSRA, EWSRA, SWRA, MRA, SCSRA and NEWSR and the national retailer group NSSRA in creating a more efficient buying rhythm.

Over 770 brands will unveil their complete product collections in more than 3200 booths at SIA.04. Exhibitors represent all sectors of the industry
including: alpine, Nordic, snowboarding, snowshoe, backcountry and telemark.

“Snow sports brands recognize that the SIA SnowSports Show is the best opportunity to reach a national audience of retail and resort buyers,” said Ingemie. A waiting list has been compiled for those companies still interested in exhibiting at the 2004 Show, but have not been assigned booth space.
