SIA Attracts 72 Brands to New ECOsource Exhibit…

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) said 72 brands will show products made from recyclable or sustainable materials its inaugural ECOsource exhibit at SIA.08 SnowSports Trade Show.  That marks a record high participation rate for a first-time product showcase exhibit at the show. 


ECOsource marks the tenth market segment exhibit introduced at the show since 1999. The show will be held Jan. 29 through Feb. 1 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.


Other market segment exhibits focus on rental gear, uniforms, kids, cross country, AT/telemark/backcountry, backshop, women’s hardgoods, twin tips and helmets.

SIA Attracts 72 Brands to New ECOsource Exhibit

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) has announced that 10 Market Segment Exhibits will be featured at the SIA.08 SnowSports Trade Show in Las Vegas Jan. 29-Feb. 1. 

Rental World was the original market segment exhibit, launched nine years ago to address a market trend at the time. Since 1999, exhibits have been added each year with steady growth and brand participation in each one.


“The market segment exhibits at the SIA Show are a fantastic opportunity for manufacturers and buyers,” stated Lucky Bums President Jeff Streeter. “The extra exposure for manufacturers is invaluable especially when launching new product lines. It also gives the buyers looking for specific categories one location to check out the available products.”


This year's exhibits include:

  • women’s hardgoods,
  • twin tip,

  • ecologically/green manufactured products

Newest segment exhibit to focus on green products

Nine of the ten market segment exhibits will adorn the Mandalay Bay Convention Center lobby, with ECOsource, an exhibit dedicated to suppliers embracing “green” initiatives, making its debut on the SIA Show floor. 


A record number 396 participants will showcase their products with KIDZone notching an all-time high with 85 brands. 


ECOsource will feature over 72 brands exhibiting products that are made from recyclable or sustainable materials and marks a record high participation rate for a first-time product showcase exhibit. 


“Atomic's participation in various market segment exhibits allows us to highlight some of our key products in an isolated, focused environment. This gives us a chance to show dealers our dedication to the many unique segments of the snow market we are involved in,” said Atomic’s Courtney Vermass. 

More than clincs and seminars planned

The Market Segment Exhibits have also come to offer the ideal education opportunity with presenters and partners using the areas to conduct special events, mini-seminars, clinics and more. This year over 10 seminars and clinics are slated to take place in the Market Segment Exhibits as part of the newly-created SnowSports Institute. 

Additionally, special events will take place daily in several of the exhibits allowing attendees to co-mingle with peers and other industry enthusiasts.
