Sherpa Adventure Gear has added Schneider Sales Associates and Jason Ramsey of Southern Overland Sales to its team of independent sales reps, effective immediately. Schneider Sales Associates is covering the New England states and Ramsey’s agency is representing the brand in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Father and son team Steve and Hans Schneider, based in Williston, VT, have over 45 years combined experience in the outdoor industry. Current lines include Boreal and Riot Kayaks, Kahtoola, Granite Gear, Cocoon, Evolv, and Vermont Smoke and Cure. In their free time, the duo enjoys climbing, paddling, hiking, snowboarding and fishing.

Ramsey’s recently formed Southern Overland Sales represents Montrail, Popticals and now, Sherpa Adventure Gear. Ramsey has been an independent sales agent for four years; his prior experience includes working with Olukai, Balega, Amphipod and Saxx. When not on the job, Ramsey spends time with his wife Phou and son Everest. They enjoy running, camping kayaking, mountain biking and travel-including discovering Texas’ state parks one by one. Ramsey is based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sherpa Adventure Gear was founded in 2003 by Tashi Sherpa after he discovered that his uncle was on Sir Edmund Hilary’s celebrated 1953 expedition to the summit of Everest. The company employs hundreds in Kathmandu and Nepal at its headquarters, stores and manufacturing operations. Marketing and North American sales and distribution is based in Kent, WA. A portion of every sale benefits the education of Sherpa children through the Paldorje Education Fund, an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable arm the company established in May 2012.
