Shanley and Team Leave Wells Fargo for SIG

John J. Shanley is leaving Wells Fargo Securities to join Susquehanna International Group, LLP. SIG said Shanley will join its sell-side research team, covering athletic footwear and apparel. Mr. Shanley brings more than twenty years of experience in the analysis of the footwear and athletic product industries.

Mr. Shanley joins SIG from Wells Fargo Securities, LLC where he was a Managing Director of the firm. Prior to his tenure at Well Fargo Securities, LLC, Mr. Shanley served as Managing Director at JW Genesis Capital Markets, LLC, in New York, where he also covered athletic and footwear sector securities. He also has held the position of Director of Research and Strategic Planning at The Woolworth Corporation (now Foot Locker, Inc.) and held a similar position at Allied Stores Corporation (now Federated Department Stores, Inc.).

Mr. Shanley is a member and past president of the Retail Marketing Society (RMS). For the past two years he was named “Best on the Street” in the apparel/footwear sector and “#3” overall in Specialty Retail by The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Shanley has also been named “Best on the Street” in both sectors by Forbes in May, 2004. He has appeared as a guest speaker on CNBC, Bloomberg Television, and CNN on numerous occasions, and is also quoted regularly in The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, and various industry trade publications.

Mr. Shanley received a BS degree from Adelphi University and an MBA from New York University. Joining Mr. Shanley's team will be: Christopher Svezia, Analyst; Muller Luo, Equity Research Associate; and David Meyer, Equity Research Associate. The team will be based in SIG's New York office and will report to Eric Noll, Director of Research.
