The launch of SGMA Spring Market will surpass 1,000 paid booth units in size, making it the second largest trade show launch this decade, according to Universal Event Management (UEM). According to Tradeshow Week, SGMA Spring Market will be the country’s second largest trade show launch since 1999-across all industries.

SGMA Spring Market will take place June 11 – 13, 2007 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA) retained UEM to manage all aspects of SGMA Spring Market’s launch and production, including sales, marketing, conference development, event operations and housing management. UEM’s exhibit sales staff contracted more than 100,000 net square feet of booth space in the show, securing participation from hundreds of the sporting goods and fitness industry’s leading brands. With one month remaining until the show debuts, UEM also believes that 1,200 paid booth units is within reach.

“At UEM, we have extensive experience launching new shows, and the success of SGMA Spring Market is a testament to our expertise in this area,” said Charlie Greco, CEO of Universal Event Management. “We’re thrilled that our efforts have created one of the largest trade show launches in trade show history, and more importantly, that SGMA Spring Market is now recognized as the most important buying event of the year for the sporting goods and fitness industry.”

SGMA Spring Market is the nation’s premier trade show for sporting goods and fitness retailers and team dealers. Among the companies committed to exhibiting are Reebok, New Balance, ASICS, Under Armour, Everlast, Wilson, Rawlings, Franklin Sports, Easton Sports, Crocs, Mizuno, and hundreds of others. The event is expected to draw thousands of sporting goods and fitness retailers and team dealers to Las Vegas this June.
