As if it wasn’t enough that Segway was just anointed the top-selling eKickScooter* in the world, the so-called global leader in micromobility took the opportunity at CES 2025 to launch its first two highly anticipated e-bikes, the Segway Xyber and Segway Xafari.

As previously reported by SGB Media in December 2024 (see below), Segway assembled a dedicated e-bike division in the U.S. to support the launch of its first two e-bikes and other future cycling products. First previewed at CES 2024, the Xyber and Xafari e-bikes are now reportedly available for pre-order at independent dealers nationwide and store.segway.com.

Deliveries are expected in February.

The company said in early December that it also implemented a new sales model for its e-bikes, supporting independent dealers rather than selling direct-to-consumer or through major retail chains and websites as it does with its other product offerings. Staying true to their December announcement, the e-bikes ordered online will ship to a local dealer of the customer’s choice.

Segway said its first two e-bikes aim to redefine the segment and make the experience of riding a bike not only easier but more fun, safe, convenient, and accessible for more people by combining cutting-edge technology with class-leading features, benefits and performance.

“The best technology allows people to engage with the world more seamlessly. With the official launch of the Xyber and Xafari, we are using technology to redefine the electric bike experience,” said Nick Howe, head of e-bike at Segway. “You don’t have to consider yourself a cyclist to feel the freedom and joy of two wheels. And with features like our Intelligent Ride System, we’re empowering both new riders and dyed-in-the-wool cyclists to simply ‘ride better.'”
