Sea to Summit, headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, appointed Layne Rigney to its Board of Directors. He joins the Board from Denver, CO, as a non-executive director with C-Suite level experience to further accelerate the brand in North America and the EMEA.
Rigney has worked as a CEO and operating officer in the outdoor industry, previously as CEO at Osprey Packs and president at CamelBak. He has worked across North America and the EMEA and will “bring connectivity and executive-level operating experience to key growth markets,” said Sea to Summit.
As a former OIA Board member, Rigney also has experience driving industry-wide policy, sustainability efforts and increasing outdoor participation.
“Roland Tyson, Five V, and I are extremely energized by Layne’s appointment to the Sea to Summit Board of Directors,” said Greg Dupont, CEO of Sea to Summit. “As a former CEO and president at prominent brands in the outdoor industry, Layne brings extensive experience in not only key product categories but also across North America and EMEA. Additionally, located in the U.S., we expect a great connection and senior presence in one of our highest growth markets.”
Rigney’s Board appointment comes as Sally McCoy stepped down to pursue other interests.
