Scott USA has hired Daryl Price to coordinate products for its U.S. bicycle group. Price brings more than 20 years of experience to SCOTT USA, 10 of those as a professional mountain bike racer, with victories in both World Cup and NORBA National Championship Series events. Price’s most recent employment was as product manager at Smith Sport Optics.

Prior to Smith, Daryl was the marketing manager for Giro Sport Design. “I am really excited to be back in the bike industry and working with the product development group at SCOTT USA, as well as with the U.S. bike division. Our goal is to ensure that specialty retailers get the best product mix and customer service from Scott USA. The timing of Scott’s re-entry into the U.S. cycling market, under the leadership of Scott Montgomery, couldn’t be better,” said Price. “I can’t wait to ride a 14 lb. CR1 road bike and their 19 lb. Scale mountain bike; I haven’t wanted a hardtail mountain bike since I retired from racing, but the Scale is off the hook!”, added Price.

Scott Montgomery comments, “Pulling Daryl into Scott was stroke of luck. To find a guy with his experience and credibility in this industry is just what we needed. Daryl knows dealers, many of our sales reps, magazine editors, professional racers, and industry veterans. His work ethic and product knowledge are top notch.” Montgomery added, “The group of employees we have assembled should send a clear message to the bike industry and dealers that Scott USA is dedicated to the U.S. market.”
