Wolverine World Wide promoted Scott B. Sible to the position of president, Merrell. In this new capacity, Sible will continue reporting to Jacques Lavertue, president of the Outdoor Group of Wolverine World Wide.
The scope of the Merrell business has expanded rapidly over the last several years, and greater management focus and attention will allow the brand to continue its positive momentum. In Sible's expanded role, he will assume greater responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction and general management of Merrell Footwear and Merrell Apparel on a global basis. Sible most recently was the Vice President and General Manager of Merrell.
Commenting on the appointment, Jacques Lavertue stated, “Scott's proven abilities and dedication to Merrell since joining the team in 1999, make him the leader of choice for the brand and will provide the necessary focus for continued growth. I am confident that Scott will serve the Company and its shareholders well in his new role as President of the global Merrell business.”

Sible holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Northern Michigan University. He is a 15-year veteran of the footwear industry, having held various sales and management positions throughout his career.
