San Francisco ranked as the top running city in Runners World’s “America’s 50 Best Running Cities.” Rounding out the top five were Seattle, Boston, San Diego and Washington, D.C.
The research started with a list of 250 U.S. cities with populations of more than 160,000 that had the highest number of households per capita reporting participation in running within the last 12 months (according to the SimplyMap 2014 census study). Cities were then ranked based on five factors: run, parks, climate, food, and safety. The Runners World article is here.
