Dunham has signed a license agreement with Sampco Inc. for the brand's work and industrial collection.  Effective Dec. 15, Sampco will manufacture, market and distribute Dunham work and industrial footwear.

“Sampco's strong background and experience in the work category makes them a natural partner to help continue our extensive work and industrial line under the Dunham name.  This partnership will also enable us to put greater focus on Dunham's ongoing strong men's casual category and the introductions that are planned for fall 2009, says Jerry Sweeney, senior product manager, Dunham.

Sampco is a Chicago, IL-based company founded in 1963 and run by co-owners Rick Smaligo and David Morrison.  The company currently distributes several other footwear brands including Xploro occupational footwear and Dr. Scholl's / TX Traction service shoes.

“We look forward to growing the work and industrial product offering for the Dunham brand while keeping in line with Dunham's 100+ year heritage,” said Bob Prager, division al VP of footwear, who will lead the Dunham licensee effort.

Dunham is based in Boston, Massachusetts and is a New Balance brand.
