Salomon named Scott Mellin its global chief brand officer, headquartered in its Annecy office in the French Alps.
Mellin has a long career in the snow, sport and outdoor industries as an executive and consultant, having worked with brands Oakley, Callaway, The North Face, Head, Scott, AspenSnowmass, Black Diamond, Audi, and Lamborghini, among others.
Most recently, as global GM of Mountain Sports at The North Face, Mellin led efforts to revive the brand’s “authenticity” while developing and launching fabric technologies. He also “pioneered” the relaunch of the brand’s footwear category and led the company’s sustainability programming.
