RYU Apparel Inc. was selected as the sole athletic apparel brand presented to every 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model after their photo shoot for use in their fitness, training and rest and recovery.
RYU said it recognizes that these women have inspiring stories about their personal journey in health and fitness along with their relationship with positive body image, no matter the age, size or athleticism, and chose to support their efforts and messages.
“It’s these stories that resonated with us, and it’s why we are very proud and honored to be part of this wide reaching issue from Sports Illustrated” said Marcello Leone, CEO, president and chairman of the board for RYU. “All of these women embody our ethos of ‘beautiful tough’ each in their own unique way.”
The models and athletes that received RYU apparel include worldwide celebrity names such as Kate Upton, Christie Brinkley, Serena Williams, Ashley Graham, Chrissy Teigen, Genie Bouchard, Caroline Wozniacki, Aly Raisman and Simone Biles. In total, 33 models were provided outfits.
