RYU Apparel Inc. officially opened its first Toronto retail location on Thursday, September 21.
Following the opening of RYU’s award-winning flagship retail location on Vancouver’s iconic West 4th Avenue in 2015, the brand has expanded across the Greater Vancouver area to establish additional retail locations in the downtown Robson shopping district at Thurlow Street and West Vancouver’s premium shopping destination Park Royal. Rapid store growth, augmented by strong online sales, has seen RYU grow in its first two years in business.
The Toronto retail location is RYU’s first retail expansion outside of British Columbia and is located at 361 Queen Street West, amongst the historic urban backdrop of Toronto’s trendy shopping districts. The space measures 2,220 square feet of top floor retail space above 2,050 square feet of office and meeting spaces.
“We are very excited to expand into Eastern Canada and to establish a new community for RYU,” said Marcello Leone, CEO and president of RYU. “We’ve received great interest from the athletic community in Toronto and we are thrilled to establish a permanent home here.”
Further to the official opening on September 21, grand opening events and celebrations are planned for October 12-14.
In addition to expansion into the Toronto market this Fall, RYU is opening its fourth Greater Vancouver location in British Columbia’s largest shopping centre – The Metropolis at Metrotown.
