RSN, Resort Television, attended the SnowSports Industries America show in Las Vegas in January to tape information on new skiing and snowboarding products and technologies will be available to consumers for the 2005/2006 ski season.
“The Goods,” the half-hour show resulting from that footage, will begin airing on RSN in late August and run through the fall. It is the first in a series of programs that RSN plans to produce that will feature products and gear from the leading (and the quirky) winter and the summer outdoors manufacturers.
RSN broadcasts in more than 100 mountain and beach resort communities around the United States and features specialized resort, gear, and travel related television programming.
“SIA is an industry launching pad for new products and technologies,” said Jeff Dumais, RSN's president. “Our goal with The Goods is to give consumers an early look at the latest gear for the 2006 season.”
Highlights of “The Goods” include unique products ranging from K2's licensing of Marvel Comics character graphics for their new line of K2LP boards, to Little Hotties, environmentally safe hand warmers, to a couch made entirely out of Gore-Tex's new fabric.
RSN veteran Lisa Densmore hosts the program, adding her professional ski expertise to the interviews with the manufacturer's reps and the product demonstrations.
With affiliates in more than 100 mountain and beach resort communities around the country, RSN has a potential annual unduplicated reach of 55 million people.
