Royal Robbins introduces its latest packable outerwear with the Switchform collection for Fall 2020. The line was designed to take functionality, versatility and convertibility to the next level.
Jackets in the collection provide the wearer with intentional benefits by converting into other functional pieces for storage. For men, the waterproof Parka flips into itself to become a backpack, the waterproof Jacket turns into a pillow, the water-resistant Lite Jacket converts into a waistpack/cross-body sling bag. For women, the waterproof Trench and Jacket each transition into a crossbody bag, and the lightweight, wind and water-resistant Parka becomes a tote.
In the manufacturing process, a C0 DWR finish is applied to the collection’s fabrics — an environmentally-friendly alternative that eliminates the dispersal of fluorocarbons in the environment. And a non-silver based odor control treatment lessens the harmful impact to beneficial bacteria in the ecosystem.
The brand’s Fall 2020 line also includes a collection of sweaters for men and women that are compressible and packable and incorporate sustainable and eco-conscious materials to reduce its environmental footprint.
