Royal Precision appointed Christopher Johnston as its new president and chief executive officer.
Formally the director, president and CEO of Royal Associates Inc. – parent company of Royal Precision – Johnston played a significant role in establishing and overseeing the strategic direction of Royal Precision. As the new head of Royal Precision management, he is expected to enhance Royal Precisions ability to supply original equipment manufacturers with innovative high-performance steel shafts.
“I am excited to lead Royal Precisions senior management team in our efforts to provide value-added golf shafts that offer tour-validated high performance,” says Johnston, who was a co-founder of Royal Precision in 1996. “We have made a significant investment in enhancing our manufacturing capabilities and, as these improvements are fully implemented, our quality and delivery will soon match the performance of our premium products. Now and for the future, our main focus will be on quality, innovation and exceeding the customers expectations.”
Royal Precision is best known for its design and manufacture of premium Rifle steel shafts, which are played by a significant number of professional golfers, including three of the worlds Top Five ranked players.
“It has never been Royal Precisions goal to be the largest shaft manufacturer by volume,” says Johnston. “Our goal is not quantity, its quality. Our Rifle-branded steel shafts are the worlds leading premium steel shafts and golfers around the world have consistently preferred our shafts for feel, consistency and performance.”
