Rocket Dog, the maker of women’s and children’s footwear, hired Scott Weaver as its vice president of sales.

Weaver comes to Rocket Dog with a relevant background in sales and strategic management in the kids’ space with his experience with Steve Madden Kids where he acted as the general manager. In his role with Steve Madden Kids he successfully built a strong foundation for the kids division in major department stores and independent retailers.

Weaver also acted as the President for Superga North America where he directed and oversaw all operations in the USA, and managed both Canadian and Mexican distributors, while developing and executing a complete overhaul of the brand position, brand image, trade channel distribution strategy, etc., which resulted in a significant increase in sales.

In his new position Weaver will manage and grow the kids business while building a strong foundation in this category. He will also develop a strategic distribution plan in managing the brand and work closely with the design team in the development and market direction meeting this consumer’s needs.

“Weaver will be part of the senior management team, and we are excited to invest in the kids category as we continue to see growing demand in this space,” said Cathy Taylor, Rocket Dog’s Chief Executive Officer. “He brings strong relationships with key customers and will be a great addition to our sales and management team.”

Weaver will be based out of Columbus, Ohio and work out of the Rocket Dog New York and Los Angeles offices.
