Ripton & Co., the maker of technical active stretch denim, is disrupting the bike apparel market by releasing its men’s and women’s denim bike pants.
“The pants are super-thin, really comfortable and a performance-oriented product,” said Elliot Wilkinson-Ray, founder and CEO.
“The bike pants send a different message on riding attire,” said Ryan Fezler, operations manager. “They hold well, stretch well and roll fast; this is what I want to be riding in. I’ve taken them on 100-mile rides and it’s fun. They fit well and are an added layer of protection to shed the winter air.”
The pants are made with four-way stretch denim, sourced from a technical denim factory in Europe, are up to UCI downhill regulations, have hip pocket storage and front mesh pockets, a raised back for better on-bike fit, articulated knees with room for knee pads and a wide waistband with an internal drawstring belt for a comfortable fit on and off the bike.
“If you’re wearing denim bike pants, you’re turning heads,” said Fezler. “I gravitate towards them every time. When I’m on a gravel bike, and it’s cool outside, I’m in denim pants instead of tights. They look better, feel better, and I ride better.”
