Rhone, a men's activewear and lifestyle brand, said it will expand the upstart brand this year to Equinox, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom Direct and Paragon Sports.

The company is projecting revenue of over $3 million in 2015, which represents 5 times growth from the prior year due to this retail expansion and growing interest in its wholesale business.

“This is such an exciting time for Rhone,” said Nate Checketts, Rhone co-founder, in a statement. “When we first developed the brand's concept, we were driven to build a collection of product that would represent the absolute best activewear offering for men. We felt there weren't any other brands out there that really spoke to the way men work, sweat and live. The response from the market and our customers has been incredible. We've just begun our second full year of business and to already have the the interest and excitement from these premium retailers is an honor and speaks to what we are building.”

Rhone utilizes Silvers  properties by incorporating it into the fibers of their garments to create an odor-fighting, antimicrobial fabric. This silver technology can be seen in the General, Sentinel and Sentry shirts, along with the Bulldog Tank. Polartec Powerdy patented construction creates a fabric that is quick wicking with maximum breathability, used in the Sequoia ¼ Zip, which also features UPF 50 for sun protection. Rhone has also developed an ultra-lightweight, nylon four-way stretch fabric with wicking and quick dry components that allows for maximum performance. This fabric called “The F4” is used in the Torrent Pant, Mako, Escape, and Tornado Shorts. The product names take their inspiration from various male figures from history and aim to inspire season after season with quotes embroidered on the inside of the garments.

Checketts further stated, “The idea is when we wear the product, we remember these men, what they stood for and then strive to better ourselves each and every day.” The Spring 2015 collection retails for $52-$98.

Rhone product will be available in 16 Bloomingdale's locations for Spring 2015 including, but not limited to, New York City 59th Street, Chicago, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, and Roosevelt Field in Long Island, with an additional eight doors to carry the brand for Fall 2015.

“With the current athletic trend in the market, Bloomingdale's is excited to be partnering with Rhone Apparel in many of our locations,” said David Fisher, Bloomingdale's executive vice president and general merchandise manager. “Rhone does a great job of combining fit, function and fashion elements into their garments and the customer response has already exceeded expectations.”

Additionally for Spring 2015, Paragon Sports and Darien Sport Shop will sell a variety of the brand's active wear, as will 17 Equinox locations (Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Pasadena, Darien, Greenwich, Chicago, Boston Dartmouth, Boston Franklin, NYC 63rd Street, Highland Park, and Preston Hollow). Nordstrom Direct will also carry Rhone apparel for the Spring 2015 season.
