Revelyst Inc., the parent of the Foresight Sports, Bushnell Golf, Fox, Bell, Giro, CamelBak, Bushnell, and Simms Fishing brands owned by Strategic Value Partners, LLC, is shuffling the C-Suite at its San Diego-based Precision Sports Technology segment. The platform includes the company’s golf technology brands, including Foresight Sports, Bushnell Golf and PinSeeker.
Golf industry veteran Jeff Foster is assuming the role as president of the company’s Precision Sports Technology as Jon Watters and Scott Werbelow, co-presidents and Foresight Sports co-founders, step down and move into special adviser roles with the company providing strategic guidance for Revelyst’s golf technology brands.
Foster is said to be a long-time golfer who is passionate about the sport and played collegiately for Augusta State University.
“Foster brings deep golf industry experience to Revelyst, and he has led and grown some of the game’s most respected brands,” Revelyst said in a media release. Since 2022, he has served as CEO of SkyTrak and chief strategy officer for Golftec, said to be a leader in golf improvement and a strategic partner of Foresight Sports.
“Jon and Scott have been instrumental in building our golf business into what it is today—an industry leader with a loyal following and a strong portfolio of brands,” offered Eric Nyman, CEO, Revelyst, Inc. “We are deeply grateful for their leadership, passion and dedication. Their decision to stay on and support Jeff during this transition speaks volumes about their commitment to our team and customers. At the same time, Jeff’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter for the business—one defined by growth, innovation and a relentless focus on product excellence and customer satisfaction.”
The company said Watters and Werbelow played a critical role in shaping not just Foresight Sports — the golf technology brand they co-founded in San Diego in 2009 — but the entire Revelyst Precision Sports Technology platform, which they took over in early 2024. They were instrumental in targeting and executing last year’s acquisition of PinSeeker and later integrating that team’s and Bushnell Golf’s employees into the San Diego office.
“Scotty and I have always believed that leading this business is a true privilege, and we’re proud of everything that our Precision Sports Technology team has accomplished,” said Watters. “We’re confident that Jeff is the right leader to guide this platform into its next growth phase, and we look forward to supporting him and the team during this transition.”
Werbelow added, “In a world where technology is changing the way we experience the game of golf, I feel incredibly proud to have played a part in that evolution. As Jon and I move into advisory capacities, we are excited to hand Jeff the reins of a business we’ve nurtured and built over the last 16 years.”
Foster takes over what is described as “a pivotal time” for the growing business, which is one of three platforms in the Revelyst portfolio and an industry leader in golf technology.
“Under Foster’s leadership, Revelyst Precision Sports Technology will focus on expanding its presence across key product categories, accelerating product innovation and driving share gains in a dynamic and evolving marketplace, and nurturing important global partnerships like Golftec,” the company said.
“I’m honored to step into this role and build on the incredible foundation Jon, Scott and the entire Revelyst Precision Sports Technology team have created,” said Foster, who plans to relocate to San Diego as part of his appointment to lead the platform. “This is an exciting time for the golf industry, and I look forward to working with our talented team to bring new energy, ideas and products to golfers everywhere. I’m also excited to join Eric and the rest of the Revelyst Leadership Team as we create new opportunities across the portfolio.”
