According to a report in the Oregonian, Nike is implementing the second phase of its plan to lay off about 1,400 workers.

In June, Nike said it planned to lay off about 2 percent of its workforce.

The first round of layoffs, according to the Oregonian, came in June and focused on product development and technology areas. Some positions in operations, sales support and customer service received word they were being laid off on Wednesday, according to the report.
