REI Co-op named Vignesh Pratap its new vice president of enterprise systems. The company said Pratap has previously led tech teams at global retail and software companies, including Nike, Starbucks, Infosys, and Oracle.

“Vignesh’s experience in driving business transformation in retail and CPG companies will be instrumental to build on the momentum initiated by our enterprise systems team to renovate the co-op’s systems and business processes,” said Guillaume Ledieu, chief technology officer at REI. “This will enable business growth and efficiency. It will also increase agility to continue improving customer and employee experience.”

Most recently, Pratap worked for Nike, Inc., serving for over three years as senior director of Engineering, Global Technology.

The co-op said in a media release that it is on a multi-year journey to evolve its technical capabilities, which are “critical to both effectively serving members and customers across retail channels and helping employees across the co-op do their work more effectively.”

“Pratap will play an important role in effectively managing our enterprise systems, ultimately helping REI improve customer experience, system uptime, and operating costs,” the retailer noted.

“I am excited about becoming part of the REI community,” said Pratap. “I am passionate about contributing to the co-op’s mission by leveraging my experience in connecting technology investments to business outcomes and giving teams line of sight to how their work contributes to outcomes.”
