Recreational Equipment, Inc. appointed Brenda Davis to a one-year term to the company's board of directors. A lifelong conservationist and outdoor enthusiast, Davis resides in Bozeman, Mont. and is chair of The Wilderness Society, which works to save, protect and restore the nation's wilderness. She also currently serves on the board of the World Wildlife Fund, which is dedicated to global conservation of nature, and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
Davis recently retired from Johnson & Johnson, where she was employed since 1992. Working as the corporate compliance officer and vice president of technical resources, some of her many responsibilities included leading the company's global sales and marketing compliance, product quality and compliance, and environmental affairs. She also worked to establish global policies and standards, tools and training for approximately 200 operating companies in 55 countries.
With more than 30 years experience with governmental social and environmental policies on the state and federal level, Davis was previously chair of the New Jersey Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and a board member of the Community Foundation of New Jersey. She also was a visiting fellow at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
