As a sign that finding a solution for the Reebok brand in the U.S. may be a fool’s errand, the brand’s U.S. operations were once again sold.

The brand was most recently managed by Sparc Group.

Authentic Brands Group (Authentic), which has an equity share in the Sparc Group, pulled the Europe license from New Guard Group, a division of Farfetch, this past fall.

Retail Dive first reported the news based on its reporting at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Big Show conference on Sunday, January 12. The media outlet said that Ivy Solari, VP of Digital Commerce at Reebok, told the audience that Galaxy Universal had acquired the Reebok Design Group and the brand’s U.S. operations.

Galaxy Universal describes itself as a marketing, design, sales, sourcing and manufacturing company that specializes in athletic, health and outdoor categories, among others.

Galaxy owns the And1, Gaiam and Tony Hawk brands and licenses the Justice and London Fog brands.

There will be much more to report on this ever-evolving saga of a brand gone bad, so keep an eye out for more from SGB Media.
