In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Bell Sports, Inc. voluntarily recalled Giro Merit helmets.
The helmet straps on some of the helmets manufactured before January 2023 could disengage when pulled with relatively little force, posing a risk of injury to the user.
The company has not received reports of injuries related to the defective helmets.
Consumers should stop using the helmets and contact Giro at 800. 456.2355 or email Giro at consumersupport@bellgiro.com for a replacement helmet of the same model/size that is validated to be defect free.
