Rebel Sport Limited, the largest sporting goods chain in Australia, reported that first half revenues increased 14.5% to $210.5 million when compared to the six months ended 31 December 2005, including sales revenue from the Glue lifestyle
stores. Sales on a same store basis increased by 11.1%.
Sales performance in Rebel Sport stores for the half year was pleasing, continuing the strong sales growth achieved during the 2006 financial year.
In the half year to December 2006, Rebel Sport opened a further two stores in
Macquarie Shopping Centre and Wagga Wagga (New South Wales). Rebel Sport
Limited currently has 63 Rebel Sport stores and 10 Glue stores.
