Frank Peterson, president and CEO of the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) said Michelle Lampher has joined the organization as vice president of marketing. Peterson said Lampher will provide “marketing strategy and leadership” for the organization's products and programs including the “Take Me Fishing” campaign.


As vice president of marketing, Lampher will execute a comprehensive consumer marketing plan that integrates advertising, Internet, communications, event marketing and stakeholder adoption of the organization's brands. She also will oversee the development of corporate sponsorship packages to support RBFF's programs, products and outreach efforts.


“Michelle is a proven leader and successful marketing expert,” said Peterson. “Her prior experience as a business owner and a marketing development specialist, combined with her youth education expertise, will be a tremendous asset to RBFF as we work to increase participation, while protecting the legacy of boating and fishing.”


Lampher was president of Better World Strategies LLC, a consulting firm that provided strategic planning, marketing and development services to nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, she worked for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs directing program administration and outreach for the federal government's premier international exchange, the International Visitor Leadership Program. Lampher has also held executive positions with Youth For Understanding International Exchange and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.


Lampher studied International Business at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Ariz. and earned a B.A. in Political Science/International Relations from University of California in Los Angeles, Calif.
