Rawlings has partnered with Edison Nation to help discover the next game-changing baseball and fast-pitch softball training product. Edison Nation, an open innovation platform, accepts, filters and
processes the submissions of independent inventors looking to introduce
their ideas to partnering retailers and manufacturers.

Edison Nation's product review team then analyzes thousands of ideas each month, with the
goal of licensing this consumer-driven innovation to partnering
companies.

Rawlings noted that it introduced its new 5-Tool Training Series in collaboration with Ripken Baseball Group last year in an effort to assist coaches and players with training and game preparation. The Rawlings-Ripken 5-Tool product line launch is exceeding expectations with players and retailers alike.

The Rawlings “Live Product Search” through Edison Nation calls on all players, coaches and fans of the game to submit their product ideas that will innovate the game even further.

“Rawlings has a long, rich heritage in pioneering America's pastime with exceptionally high-quality and high-tech batting, pitching and fielding gear,” says Art Chou, Rawlings' senior vice president of products for Jarden Team Sports, parent company of Rawlings. “Looking to the future, as well as to the 2010 MLB season, we continually seek progress and innovation in the dynamic products we offer to both amateur and professional athletes.”

Edison Nation is complimentary to join. The Rawlings Live Product Search ends on  June 7, 2010. Further details are available at www.edisonnation.com/rawlings.
