Rave Sports, based in St. Paul, MN, appointed Jason Borg as vice president of sales.
In this role, Borg will lead the water-based sporting goods company’s sales initiatives in both its business-to-business and direct business-to-consumer sales channels worldwide.
Previously, Borg was national sales manager for Escalade Sports in Evansville, IN, a global manufacturer, importer and distributor of over 40 sporting goods brands with over 2,800 items to leading retailers.
“With Jason’s sales leadership experience and passion for family-oriented retail sporting goods, he is the perfect match for expanding our brand into new retail partnerships and for increasing revenue across all our sales channels,” said Steve Friswold, President, Rave Sports. “We wanted to expand our company’s management team with a proven sales leader, and we look forward to Jason’s contributions to the future growth of our company.”
Borg was with Escalade Sports for 14 years, serving as their national sales manager since 2011. His prior experience also includes sales and sales leadership positions with Tommy Armour Golf Company. He received his MS and BS degrees in Sports Management from West Virginia University, and was a recipient of the prestigious “40 Under 40 Award” from Sporting Goods Business.
