Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation has announced that Aaron Schwartz will join the Company on April 3 as President of Polo Ralph Lauren Footwear, reporting to Jacki Nemerov, Executive Vice President.
“We bought back our footwear license earlier this year making footwear a key component of our broader initiative of building a global luxury accessories business,” said Jacki Nemerov, Executive Vice President of Polo Ralph Lauren. “We are very excited about this new endeavor and Aaron is a world-class talent who brings product expertise and a complete understanding of footwear to our business.”
Mr. Schwartz has extensive industry experience in directing all aspects of product development, merchandising, sales and marketing and will have overall responsibility for Ralph Lauren Footwear. He was most recently Global President and Chief Creative Officer of Bruno Magli, based in Bologna, Italy. Prior to that he was Vice President and Divisional Merchandise Manager of women's shoes at Federated Department Stores. Earlier in his career he was at Ann Taylor in various accessory merchandising assignments.
Reporting to Mr. Schwartz are Tom Terry, who continues as Senior Vice President of Footwear Sales and Marco Marin, who recently joined the Company as Vice President of Collection Footwear Sales. All three executives will be based in New York.
