Quiksilver has appointed Greg Perlot as senior vice president of marketing for Quiksilver Brands in the Americas. Mr. Perlot, who has worked closely with Quiksilver in a creative consultancy capacity over the past three years, will now oversee all of Quiksilver's marketing operations in the Americas.  In this newly established senior executive role, Mr. Perlot will report directly to Steve Tully, President of Quiksilver Brands in the Americas.

“Greg is an invaluable addition to our Quiksilver team. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his experience with other brands and industries. Although he will certainly energize the already healthy and ongoing conversation with our core customer, Greg will be a central part of the brand's ongoing efforts to engage and inspire new audiences through progressive means,” said Mr. Tully. “Although he has been a part of the Quiksilver family for some time, Greg's attention, knowledge and skills will now be fully dedicated to Quiksilver as he leads our in-house marketing team and develops fresh new ways to share the stoke.”

Mr. Perlot, a Hermosa Beach local who serves on the Surfrider Foundation's Board of Directors, has extensive experience in the boardriding community and is anxious to further Quiksilver's role as the ultimate ambassador of that culture.

“Quiksilver is a brand that's perfectly positioned for its time because at its core are simple truths that everyone wants to be a part of: creativity, expression, progression, living fully in the moment,” said Mr. Perlot. While everyone is feverishly trying to create brands that appeal to that modern spirit, Quiksilver is just living it every day. It's not marketing, it's who Quiksilver is, and it's magnetic. The goal is just to share it with more people.”

Prior to joining Quiksilver, Mr. Perlot worked closely with leading global brands including Quiksilver, Coca-Cola, Xbox, Discovery Channel and Bugaboo as the President and co-founder of the Los Angeles-based brand strategy, design and advertising agency 72andSunny.  He was also the Director of Global Advertising and Brand Research at Microsoft Corporation and a Senior Vice President at Publicis USA.
