Re-working cues from Y2K-era running spikes, the Spirex is a technical street-style sneaker inspired by Puma’s heritage of speed.
The sneaker’s technical upper features an asymmetrical composition, including fine mesh, nubuck and suede, integrated with the Puma Formstrip, rendered with a structural wireframe construction supporting the upper.
An accentuated tongue “lends the Spirex a fast yet nimble look and feel,” while rope laces “fasten the shoe’s functional trail aesthetic.”
Below, the Spirex’s hard-wearing sole unit is equipped with a dynamic lug system that locks down grip.
The Spirex debuts February 12 in two monotone colors: Prairie Tan and Gray Fog.
