The Mirage Mox, dropping today, is the latest addition to PUMA’s growing collection of “Futro” shoe styles — fusing retro sneakers with futuristic inspiration and taking its design cue from the 90s-inspired running shoes.
For close to a half-century, the Mirage has been in the Puma family first introduced as a lightweight track and field shoe then reissued as a jogging shoe in the 90s with a die-cut EVA midsole. Today’s 2020 version showcases a new perspective on street style with its futuristic elements taking inspiration from electronic music, trippy colors and layering of materials.
The iconic overlay on the forefoot pays homage to the Mirage OG but is redesigned for a less retro-running look. Details like the TPU piece in the heel and bright c0lor pops give a fresh take to the classic silhouette.
Additional colorways and new designs are planned in 2021 for Puma Mirage.
