Puma launched its first global brand campaign dedicated to football, “Forever. Faster. – See The Game Like We Do,” featuring Puma Hoop athletes Breanna Stewart, Flau’jae Johnson, Scoot Henderson, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton.
The latest marketing campaign from Puma features each of the pro players’ perspectives on the game and their shared Puma ‘Forever. Faster’Faster.
Max Staiger, global head of Puma basketball, said, “Since the start we’ve always tried to tell the story of basketball through the lens of the player, seeing the game the way they do, both on the court and off the court. This approach has allowed us to connect those unique viewpoints with disruptive product and storytelling—impactful to anyone around the game.
“This Campaign, for the first time, brings together our complete narrative showcasing how Stewie, Melo, Flau’Jae, Scoot, and Tyrese embody the Puma Hoops’ disruptive and inclusive spirit.“
Puma’s roots in the game go back to 1973 when the Clyde shoe was named after Walter “Clyde“ Frazier. The brand returned to the sport in 2018.
Other pro players Puma signed recently as brand ambassadors from the NBA and WBNA include Kyle Kuzma, R.J. Barrett, Michael Porter, Jr., and Marcus Smart, and Skylar Diggins-Smith.
Puma’s Richard Teyssier, VP of brand and marketing, said the campaign is about doubling down on the brand’s commitment to basketball. “The campaign showcases the tenacious spirit we have for the game and the investment we are willing to make to show up as a powerhouse and continue carving our legacy.“ This bold campaign is designed to amplify Puma’s presence across the entire business, further cementing its growing influence in the world of basketball.
