Puma announced a four year agreement with professional golfer, Geoff Ogilvy, to commence in 2006. Ogilvy will be wearing PUMA Golf footwear and apparel on the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour. He will debut his new look at the Mercedes Championships in Maui. As part of the agreement, Ogilvy will star in the PUMA Golf television and print campaign set to launch in March.

“Geoff Ogilvy embodies the combination of athletic excellence and style that is synonymous with the PUMA brand,” said Jochen Zeitz, PUMA Chairman and CEO. “As we launch our first PUMA Golf range, he will help PUMA make its mark in the category.”

In the advertising campaign, Ogilvy will showcase the PG GTX performance shoe, as well as select PUMA Golf apparel. The collection's strong performance benefits and vibrant color palette create a modern, unexpected look that illustrates the signature style of the PUMA brand.

“PUMA Golf blends technical innovation with our unique PUMA personality,” said Bob Philion, PUMA Golf Business Unit Manager. “The collection is designed to be stylish and fun without sacrificing performance. It is ideally suited for golfers like Geoff, who are looking to enhance their game with a fashionable presence on the course.”

Ogilvy began golfing with his father at the age of seven. The 28 year-old Australia native joined the PGA in 2001 and captured his first career victory at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson in February 2005. Additional career highlights include a tie for 5th at the 2005 British Open Championship, a tie for 3rd at the 2005 FUNAI Classic and tying for 6th in the 2005 PGA Championship. Ogilvy is involved in many of the PGA philanthropic efforts. Ogilvy currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife, Juli.

“PUMA's new golf line offers the comfort and style that I look for on and off the course,” said Geoff Ogilvy. “I'm looking forward to a strong 2006 season and am excited to be one of the first on the tour to represent PUMA Golf.”
