Puma has teamed up with Genesis Group International Ltd., its exclusive licensee for pro teamsports in the UK and Ireland, to target grassroots football and rugby teams through a new website www.thekitteam.com
The Kit Team will provide an extensive range of PUMA kit and trainingwear, footwear and accessories to football, rugby union and rugby league teams. The Kit Team range will shortly be extended to include Gaelic sports gear and equipment, and eventually will provide sportswear and sports equipment for cricket, hockey and lacrosse.
As part of the agreement The Kit Team site will be exclusively offering rugby clubs a service by which they can design their own PUMA kit grassroots clubs will no longer be forced to play in standard hoops or stripes.
The Kit Team sales director, John Howarth, said “Weve been working with PUMA for many years supplying professional football and rugby teams including Bath Rugby, St Helens RLFC and Reading football club. This licensing agreement is the result of the great service weve provided to our customers which has helped the PUMA brand gain on field presence in the UK marketplace.”
