The Web Marketing Association has recently named the revamped www.PrinceTennis.com as its ‘Best Sports Website’ WebAward winner. Prince, which recently launched the “Rule the Court” brand campaign, is the first tennis brand to win WMA’s prestigious award. Prince Tennis re-launched its website on July 15, 2003 to better communicate with tennis enthusiasts.

“Our website revamp is part of Prince’s commitment to connect with avid players and tennis fans around the world,” said Alistair Thorburn, President of Prince. “We’re delighted the WMA has recognized PrinceTennis.com as a first-class resource within the world of sports websites. More importantly, we’re thrilled that our site visitors are not only responding with positive feedback, but are also continuing to revisit the site to find the latest news and info about both Prince and the sport of tennis.”

The new site was created to assist in educating tennis players wishing to research Prince products in order to find the best equipment and apparel to fit their game. Additional site updates will occur throughout the year, including product gallery design enhancements and the addition of a racquet comparison wizard, according to Kevin Labick, vice president of Refinery.

“Prior to creating the new site we knew that Prince Tennis had the all the necessary ingredients for a top-notch website: a great brand, superior products and star athletes,” said Labick. “Combined with Prince’s business, customer and brand expertise, Refinery’s deep knowledge of web marketing and usability enabled the new PrinceTennis.com to become a fun and highly-interactive tennis resource.”
