PrimaLoft Insulation Technology is sponsoring a technical
clinic to help answer question about sleeping bag performance and design at teh OR Summer Market Friday, August 13th from 7:30-9:00 AM at the Downtown Marriott Hotel across from the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. The objective of the clinic is to
strengthen the knowledge base of the industry in regards to sleeping bags and to provide higher performing bags to end users.
Two of the world's leading authorities on sleeping bags, Dr. Elizabeth
McCullough, Professor of Textile Science, Kansas State University and Andrew
Li, Senior Manager & Director, Tungsang Sleeping Bag Factory Ltd., will
present testing for sleeping bag compressibility, warmth, and durability as
well as how to optimize sleeping bag design for each performance
characteristic. Topics will include standardized testing procedures, data
interpretation, a summary of temperature rating models, sleeping bag design,
and material selection.
