Material technology provider PrimaLoft Inc. on Thursday announced the establishment of a new business unit that will focus on licensing the company’s technologies and constant innovation through the PrimaLoft brand.
Jochen Lagemann, currently serving as senior vice president and managing director – Europe & Asia, will be taking on the new role of president PrimaLoft Licensing. Lagemann will retain his duties as managing director, Europe, in addition to leading the licensing business unit.
“We are excited for the opportunity to expand access to our advanced material technology, as well as our brand, to industries and applications outside of our core market,” said PrimaLoft president and CEO, Mike Joyce. “After setting-up and successfully establishing our business in Europe and Asia over the last 10 years, Jochen’s global business experience, strategic strength and pioneering character make him uniquely qualified to establish another new business for our company.”
Lagemann will still be based in the European office in Munich, reporting to the CEO, and remains a member of the operating board.
Additionally, PrimaLoft has hired Bob Sameski as vice president, PrimaLoft Licensing to play a key role in building this new business unit, reporting to Lagemann. Sameski is a seasoned veteran of the licensing world, having worked with Symphony Investment Partners as an advisor to licensing partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to Symphony, Sameski was the VP of sport and active brands at Marquee Brands, where he directed all licensing, marketing, brand management and e-commerce for the Body Glove brand, and was instrumental in the brand’s early growth and expansion across 40 licensees.
